Kalimpong, West Bengal

If you are in search of nature gateway, then Kalimpong is the place where you can relax and feel rejuvenated in the beauty and serenity. It is located in the West Bengal lies in the eastern Himalayas. The hill station is lesser-known and less crowded, it has the beauty that can mesmerize the tourists. You will be amazed to witness the rich flora which includes nearly 300 species of Orchids, Pine, Fir, Brich and fauna comprising of Asiatic black bear, barking Deer, Red panda Himalayan tahr are some of the animals found in the nearby areas of Kalimpong.

How to reach: The nearest airport is Bagdogra which is 78km. The nearest railway station is New Jalpaiguri. Kalimpong is well connected with Kolkata, Darjeeling, Gangtok by road.

Srinagar, Jammu, and Kashmir

Srinagar is famously known as “Heaven on Earth.” The Summer Capital city of Jammu and Kashmir surrounded by lakes and houseboats on the Dal lake, glass palaces. The first half of September is considered a summer of Kashmir. One can enjoy the rides on Shikara (House boats) on the river Dal Lake and Nageen lake. How to Reach: Srinagar has its own airport named Sheik Ul Alam international airport. The Nearest railway station is Udhampur which is 203km away. It is well connected with roads to all the major cities like Delhi, Chandigarh, Leh, and Jammu.

Valley of Flowers, Uttarakhand

The Valley of flowers is a bouquet of nature peacefully nestled in the western Himalayas of Uttarakhand. The trek to valley of flowers through dense forest, river Pushpavati crossing bridges glaciers and waterfalls. The dazzling nature is known as Indian National park and UNESCO World Heritage site exhibiting meadows blossomed with various flowers and medicinal plants along with different fauna.

Things to do: Visit the Hemkund sahib, rare species of flowering plants, Visit Badrinath which is 25km away.

How to reach: Rishikesh and Haridwar are the nearest railway stations. Jolly Grant airport is the nearest airport. You should hire a taxi that would take you to Joshimath or Govindghat. As there is no direct connectivity to Valley of Flowers but you need to take a cab till Govindghat from Rishikesh, Haridwar Rudraprayag.

Mahabalipuram, Tamilnadu

Planning a trip with the family to south India, then Mahabalipuram would be the perfect spot to enjoy. Mahabalipuram is situated on the coromandel coast along the Bay of Bengal. It is also called a city of temples. The reason why it is called as Mahabalipuram is that the demon king mahabali was killed by Lord Vishnu. Wayanad, Kerala

Wayanad is located on the borders of Tamilnadu and Kerala. The hills are fully covered with green and wildlife. This area is also in the Tholpetty wildlife sanctuary.
