A few years back, the Lord Ganesha instructed the pious devotee Anantha Mallaiah Sharma in his celestial dream about his presence on a root of a tree. As per instructions in the dream, he found the self-incarnated Ganesha on the roots of white Calotropis tree in the premises of a devotee house at Mahabub Nagar. Later, Sharma moved the idol to Vishnupuri colony at Kazipet and built a temple in the present location. The idol is not carved by any sculptor, it is just formed naturally and one can see the full form of his body with all organs. From then, the Lord Ganesha is worshipped by the devotees as Swetharka Moola Ganapathi. The temple fascinates all and sundry with its majestic Kalinga architecture as well.
