Indian team lost the young opener Prithvi Shaw for the first Test match against Australia beginning on December 6 at the Adelaide Oval in Adelaide. Prithvi Shaw sustained an ankle injury during the practice game between India and Cricket Australia XI at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Friday.
The 19-year-old opener sustained an injury while attempting a catch at deep mid wicket on the third day of the practice game. The shot hit by the CA XI opener Max Bryant. Prithvi Shaw has gone to the hospital to undergo a scan on the injured part and reports suggested a ligament injury and the BCCI announced that he will not available for the first Test in a Tweet.
In the ongoing game, Prithvi Shaw played superbly in the Australian conditions as he struck 66 runs in 69 balls with eleven beautiful boundaries. In the 1st Test, Murali Vijay and KL Rahul will open the innings for India as they have a back-up like Parthiv Patel in the squad. The Indian team will be played with Australia for the first Test in Adelaide on December 6.
