On this day, July 22, 2010, will be etched in our memories forever! A true gentleman in the cricketing world, a magician with the ball, cool, smart & genius cricketer, Muttiah Muralitharan is the only cricketer on this planet to bag 800 Test wickets and is truly mind-boggling. The Sri Lankan spin legend set a new barrier to the young bowlers and right now, no player has ever even breached his stats.

The all-time greatest off-spinner Muttiah Muralitharan has scalped 800 Test wickets in 230 Test innings, with an average of 22.72 and strike rate of 55. Murali dismissed Pragyan Ojha on the final ball of his final innings to claim his 800th wicket and ended his peerless career in a typical flamboyant style.

We, EeYuva wants to share the most unforgettable feat achieved by the 'Doosra Bowler'. Just scroll down to watch the video.

Murali decided to retire from Tests before the first match against India. At the start of his final Test, he had 792 wickets in his kitty. He was eight wickets short of entering into record books that no other player had. In the first innings, he scalped 5 wickets as Indian team had to play follow on. Murali was still 3 wickets away to reach the extraordinary landmark.

The 47-year-old (currently) removed Yuvraj Singh with a magical delivery and trapped tailender Harbhajan Singh for LBW. The last pair Pragyan Ojha and Ishant Sharma were at the crease. Finally, Ojha edged an off-break delivery and Mahela Jayawardene took a stunning catch at first slip. The Sri Lankan team started their celebrations and fireworks exploded around the Galle Stadium.
