The England cricket team chased their second biggest target of 359 runs with the loss of 4 wickets and 5.1 overs to spare against Pakistan in the 3rd One-Day-International at the County Ground in Bristol on Tuesday. With the result, the Eoin Morgan & Co took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the 5-match ODI series against Pakistan in their home conditions.
Earlier, Eoin Morgan won the toss and decided to chase the target in the third One-Day-International match. Pakistan scored 358 runs with the loss of 9 wickets in their 50 overs quota. The opening batsman Imam-ul-Haq scored 151 runs in 131 balls with 13 hits to the fence and 1 hit into the stands.
In reply, England openers Jason Roy and Jonny Bairstow started the chase very aggressively as both the batsmen established the 159-run partnership for the first wicket. Jonny Bairstow batted brilliantly as he scored 128 runs in 93 balls with 15 hits to the rope and 5 hits above the rope. Another opener Jason Roy struck 76 runs in 55 balls with 8 beautiful fours and 4 sixes.
Eoin Morgan (17*) and Moeen Ali (46*) completed the target with 31 balls to spare for their second highest run-chase in ODIs.
