Bangladesh produced a ruthless performance with the bat as they contained a powerful star-studded bowling line-up of the West Indies Cricket Team to eke out a 7-wicket victory at the at Cooper Associates County Ground in Taunton on last night.

Bangla batsmen Shakib Al Hasan and Liton Das played a dominating performance to demolish Windies bowlers on a flat track. Mortaza and his boys further strengthened their position to keep alive in the ongoing 12th edition of the World Cup tournament.   • Bangladesh skipper Mashrafe Mortaza won the toss and decided to chase the target on a flat track.

  • Bangladesh have made one change to their playing XI as they ousted Mohammad Mithun and included Liton Das in the squad.

  • Windies have also made one change, Darren Bravo was replaced by Carlos Brathwaite.

West Indies Innings

  • West Indies openers started the innings on a bad note as veteran batsman Chris Gayle got out for a golden duck in Saifuddin's bowling in the 4th over.

  • Evin Lewis scored 70 runs in 67 balls with 6 beautiful boundaries and 2 huge sixes before being out in Shakib's bowling. Shai Hope and Evin Lewis accelerated the scoreboard as duo established the 116-run partnership for the second wicket.
