Since a week or two, we have been seeing Xiaomi dropping the teasers of its upcoming Redmi brand smartphone, Redmi K20 and ramping up the excitement among the users. Even today, there are few more such official reveals that include DC Dimming technology, Game Turbo 2.0, Hi-Res audio support and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
DC Dimming technology is to stop the flickering effect emitted by the AMOLED displays (due to the use of Pulse Width Modulation (PWM)) at low-brightness settings whereas Game Turbo 2.0 enhances the gaming experiences by offering features like replying to messages (through third-party apps like WhatsApp, Facebook, etc.,), screen recording, taking screenshot, toggle wi-fi, etc., right from within the gameplay.
As yet, through Weibo posts, the company has officially announced that K20 handset comes with triple camera set-up with whopping 48MP primary Sony IMX586 sensor, speedy Snapdragon 855 SoC, 960fps slow-motion videos, massive 4000mAh battery that would run the device for a day and a 7th gen in-display fingerprint sensor which unlocks the device zippy.
Further Weibing, in a Weibo post, also disclosed that the smartphone sports pop-up selfie camera which has a life span of 3,00,000 times (both opening and closing). So, this hints that the device is completely notch-free!
When it comes to the design details, the company's head Manu Kumar Jain tweeted the image of K20 which is completely dressed in red and has gradient finish at the back.
Availability: Redmi K20 is set to launch on May 28, 2019, in Beijing. Pre-orders have begun today in China. The smartphone will soon arrive in India.
