Sony which is slowing modernising its smartphones has rolled out its much-rumoured Xperia XZ2 Premium that was unveiled at MWC 2018. What goes special with Xperia XZ2 Premium is the ground-breaking dual rear camera set-up! XZ2 Premium is the first smartphone in the entire Sony’s line-up of devices with two cameras at the back, one is 19MP colour sensor with f/1.8 lens, and the other 12MP monochrome sensor with f/1.6 lens.
Sony which outperforms in camera quality has installed much intuitive camera unit in XZ2 Premium as well. With a maximum ISO of 51,200 for photos and 12,800 for videos, the smartphone clicks fantastic shots with no noise and all details intact. At such high ISO figures, smartphone shots normally tend to be grainy but with AUBE Fusion image signal processor companion, all noise details are removed making the photos look smooth and clear even when clicked in low-light.
Just like Apple’s iPhone X, XZ2 Premium also has portrait photography and supports bokeh effect, slow-motion videos at 960fps with 1080p resolution, DSLR-like 4K HDR video recording, monochrome effect, HDR effect, predictive hybrid autofocus, and 5-axis image stabilisation.
Even the selfie camera on XZ2 Premium is known to be excellent! It sports 13MP camera with 22-degree wide angle lens, f/2.0 aperture, 5-axis image stabilisation, and 1/3.06” Exmor RS sensor with ISO 3200 maximum for photos and ISO 1600 sensitivity for videos.
Apart from these, XZ2 Premium gets many fantastic noticeable upgrades over its predecessor XZ2, however, the design part remained almost similar. In terms of specifications, the handset sports 5.8-inch 4K HDR display that uses Bravia TV technology brings up eye-popping colours and cinematic-quality contrast. Powered by industry-leading Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor and 3540mAh battery, the Android Oreo run handset shows up extremely faster and top-notch entertainment for longer hours. In addition, the 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage ensure your multi-tasking to be smooth and latency free.
When it comes to the design elements, with all cutting edge technology likes fluid 3D glass surface, metal finish on the exterior, curved 2.5D edge glass, the smartphone looks elegant and add enough grip to hands while using. Also, the fingerprint sensor right below the camera unit is handy and makes your device unlocking and photo composition comfortable.
Its IP65/681 certification makes the handset water and dust resistant and Corning’s Gorilla Glass 5 (both front and back) provides enough protection in case of sudden drops.
