Finally, words turned real! As said Shenzhen-based mobile manufacturer, Realme has launched the world’s first smartphone, U1, that runs on the powerful MediaTek’s Helio P70 chipset. P70 was launched in October 2018 and is an octa-core SoC (based on TSMC's 12nm FinFET) with four ARM Cortex-A73 and four ARM Cortex-A53 that clock at up to 2.1GHz and 2.0GHz respectively that ensure power-efficient and faster performance compared to its earlier version. The premium P70 chipset primarily aims at gaming space.
The complementing G72 MP3 GPU that is clocked up to 900MHz brings up rich graphical abilities, latency-free gaming and ensure no frame loss during game plays. There are few other gaming optimisation techniques like GPU optimisations, do not disturb, multi-screen mode that let you work on other apps while playing games, etc.
With the RAM speed of 3GB/4GB and 32GB/ 64GB internal storage that is expandable up to 256GB, you can have glitch-free multitasking. U1 has 3500mAh battery packed.
Introducing U-series as the photography expert, the company claimed that #RealmeU1 will be the best selfie smartphone that would capture vibrant photos even in dark. When it comes to the lens details, U1 has AI-powered 25MP selfie camera with Sony IMX 576 sensor, f/2.0 aperture, night shot brightness, multi-frame Noise Reduction, bokeh effect, hybrid HDR and backlight mode.
Not just the selfies, standard shots also turn out amazing on U1. The AI-powered dual rear camera with 13MP lens (f/2.2 aperture) and 2MP lens (f/2.4 aperture) emanate saturated colours in your photos. There are other features like slow motion videos at 90fps, studio quality portrait lightning, AI scene detection, AI Face Unlock, etc.,
Further, the phone sports 6.3-inch FHD+ display with dewdrop notch, 19.5:9 aspect ratio and Gorilla Glass 3 on the top. Running ColorOS 5.2 based on Android 8.1 Oreo, the 2.5D curved glass offers rich look and enough grip while using.
The connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, micro-USB port, OTG support, 3.5mm audio jack and a fingerprint sensor at the rear.
Price/Availability: Rs.11,999 (3GB/32GB) and Rs 14,499 (4GB/64GB storage) /U1 will be available from December 5 on Amazon India in Mid grey, yellow, dark green, black and white colours.
Alongside, Realme also launched Realme Buds headset that has 11nm driver units and a 3-button in-line remote for instant switching between the tracks, answering/disconnecting calls, etc., The magnetic switch design with Kevlar fabric wire ensures snug fit. Realme Buds are priced at Rs 499.
