Japanese electronics manufacturer Panasonic is preparing grounds to unveil its first full-frame mirrorless camera system, the Lumix S series, that emanates all spectacular results in India on April 15. The Lumix S series comprises Lumix S1 and Lumix S1R cameras where S1 features 24.2MP full-frame CMOS sensor with native ISO of 51,200 (maximum) and S1R that is designed for professional photographers sports 47.3MP full-frame CMOS sensor with maximum native ISO of 25,600 respectively and no low-pass filter.
Both the cameras run on Venus processing engine which allows burst shooting at 9fps, continuous shooting at 6fps, 4K video recording at 60fps/50fps with dual image stabilisation. Dual image stabilisation in association with higher ISO sensitivity ensures hand-held and blur-free shots while shooting dark or farther scenes or subjects. Apart from these, the cameras feature 5-axis image stabilisation (in-body), contrast detection autofocus with DFD, 0.08seconds autofocus with AI technology, 4K or 6K burst shooting that lets users pick a frame from a series of images (shot at 30fps or 60fps), etc.
Further, the cameras come with industry's highest resolution electronic viewfinder that boasts 5.76 million dot resolution and fastest refresh rate of 120Hz. Its 3.2-inch tiltable touch screen gets 2.1 million dot resolution and features 'Live View Boost' which enhances the sensitivity of the display while shooting in dark.
When it comes to the design, the duo is made from a magnesium alloy and are water and dust resistant. In terms of prices, there are no exact details, but the devices tend to be priced between Rs 2.5 lakh and Rs 4 lakh (including lens).
