This time at CES 2019 in Las Vegas, Dell's primary target was gamers! In a bid to offer unprecedented gaming performance, the company has launched 'Alienware m17' with advanced GPU cards and gaming enhancing capabilities. Well, m17 is actually the upscaled version of its predecessor and claimed to be thinner (with 2.5mm thick) and 40% lighter (with 2.6kg) than its predecessor Alienware m15.

Going to the specifications, m17 comes with 17.3-inch screen with full HD (60Hz refresh rate), QHD (120Hz refresh rate) and UHD (60Hz refresh rate) resolution options and is powered by Intel's 8th generation ‘Coffee Lake' i9-8950HK six-core processor that is accompanied by NVIDIA’s GTX 1050 Ti or GeForce RTX 2060, RTX 2070 Max-Q, or 2080 Max-Q GPUs which are faster than previous generation and perfect for playing high-end games like Battlefield V, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, etc. The laptop has got two RAM slots up to 32GB of DDR4 memory, dual 1TB PCIe SSDs and two battery options - 60WHr and 90WHr.

For gamers especially, running Windows 10, Alienware m17 is installed with in-house 'Cryo-Tech v2.0 cooling technology' to maintain the temperature of the device low. The dual fans at the bottom and top pull in cool air from outside and the vents (on the side and rear) dissipates heat generated inside. So, you would experience maximum performance without any heating issues even after stretched gaming sessions.

Further, the device features AlienFX customisable lighting across six zones that include a keyboard, power button, LED cover alien head, etc. Alienware Graphics Amplifier to connect external desktop graphic cards (Nvidia or AMD) and Alienware Command Centre for managing system settings, game profiles, etc.

When it comes to design aspects, the exterior of the laptop is the same as its m15 with thin bezels and enhanced screens. The chassis of m17 is built with the magnesium alloy and copper components to put the device light, durable and offer better thermal management.

Lastly, the connectivity options include one USB Type-C Thunderbolt 3 port, 3 USB 3.0 ports, MiniDisplay Port, combined port for headphone and microphone, HDMI 2.0, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5, etc.

Price/Availability: 1649.99 USD (Rs 1,15,000 approx.)/ Initially in the US from January 29 in epic silver and nebula red colours.
