Porsche India Launches New 911 GT3: Here Is All You Need To Know About High-performance Luxurious Coupe
In order to compete with rivals in the sedan segment and to strengthen the Volkswagen Group in India, Volkswagen has launched new Passat sedan model. This is the second car and first sedan that was built under the Volkswagen's MQB platform after its Tiguan SUV. The car is available in two variants namely Comfortline and Highline with a price tag of Rs 29.99 lakh and Rs 32.99 lakh, respectively.
The new Passat is powered by a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine that delivers 177PS power and 350Nm of torque, equipped with 6-speed DSG gearbox. Its progressive sideline design gives elegant look to the car. It comes with LED headlamps with DRLs and dynamic light assist feature. The car gets 10-spoke, 17-inch alloy wheels for better drive experience.
Volkswagen has decorated the car's interior with luxurious features and advanced technology like hands-free park assist feature that is available only in the high-end luxury cars. The other key features of the car include panoramic sunroof, hands-free parking, 360-degree area view, easy open boot and modern connectivity. The premium Nappa leather seats intended for comfortable drives. Passat gets 9-airbags, dynamic chassis control, ABS, ESP, hill start assist and tyre pressure monitoring system as part of the safety package.
Though the Volkswagen is very confident that this car would become the undisputed leader in the Indian luxury sedan segment, Passat also faces tough competition from its rivals like Toyota Camry, Honda Accord and Skoda Superb, a sedan that hails from the same group. As part of Volkswagen's 10-year celebrations, the company is offering 2+2 year warranty and 4-year roadside assistant for the customers who book their Passat before 2017 December.
