French passenger car maker Renault has launched its much-awaited new 7-seater sub-four-metre MPV - Renault Triber. Renault is offering Triber in four variants - RXE, RXL, RXT and RXZ at a Prie of Rs 4.95 lakh, Rs 5.49 lakh, Rs 5.99 lakh and Rs 6.49 lakh, respectively.
According to the company, the Triber comes with first-in-industry EasyFix third-row seats that can be completely removable for the added space in the luggage compartment. The main seat combinations feature four exciting modes - 5-seater Life Mode, the 7-seater Tribe Mode, the 4-seater Surf Mode and the 2-seater Camp Mode.
The exterior styling of the Triber looks a bit similar to its predecessor Renault Kwid. Projector headlamps, stylish roof rails, LED DRLs, 15-inch alloy wheels and new chrome finish front Grille are head-turning features of the car.
Interiors of Triber decorated with Deep Black and Greige colours. It also features a dual-tone dashboard with silver accents, LED instrument cluster and twin AC vents. Easy to use 8-inch touch screen infotainment integrated with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Push-to-Talk and Video Playback features. Additionally, the car gets smart technologies like Smart Access Card with keyless entry and the Push Start/Stop Button for ease of driving. Triber also gets big 625-litre boot space with the removal of the third row.
The new Triber comes with a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine that delivers 72PS power and 96Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual and auto transmission. Renault claims a fuel efficiency figure of 20kmpl for the manual and 20.5kmpl for the AMT.
Coming to the passenger safety, the Triber get four airbags (dual front and side) while lower variants get only two front airbags. Rear parking sensors, speed limit alert, three-point seatbelts for all rows and reverse camera are the additional safety features of the Triber.
