Renault India has launched 2019 Kwid with advanced and segment-first safety features. Renault is offering Kwid in both 0.8-litre and 1.0-litre engines with manual and automated transmission options. It is also available in six exciting colour options – Fiery Red, Planet Grey, Moonlight Silver, Ice Cool White, Outback Bronze and Electric Blue for the KWID Climber. The Kwid is one of the best selling entry-level cars in Renault's Indian line-up selling more than 2,75,000 units in the country.

The new 2019 Kwid gets new 7-inch touch screen infotainment with navigation and compatible with both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Additionally, the infotainment features a push to talk’ button allowing operations easy with a press of a button and better accessibility to all favourite applications like music, videos, navigation all of which can be seamlessly used through a smartphone. Passengers can also play their favourite videos through the new Video Playback option by connecting a USB drive.
Coming to the safety, the new 2019 Renault Kwid comes with several active and passive safety features including Anti-Lock Braking System with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (ABS with EBD), Driver airbag and Driver & Co-Driver Seat belt reminder, speed alert, standard across all variants. The other segment-first features include Rear view camera assist through sound warning and colour guidelines which are standard across all variants. Additionally, the car gets Rear Armrest for extra comfort and convenience and Traffic assist (AMT variants) which helps the driver to avoid slow moving traffic.
The 0.8-litre engine delivers 54PS power, 72Nm of torque and the 3-Cylinder 1.0-litre engine delivers 68PS power, 91Nm of torque. Both engines are mated to a 5-speed manual and Easy-R 5-speed Automated Manual Transmission (AMT). The Innovative AMT Shift Control Dial with three modes Reverse–Neutral-Drive has been smartly designed for ease of use and stress- free driving experience.
The updated Kwid will compete with the likes of the Tata Tiago, Datsun Go, Maruti Suzuki Alto, Datsun Redi-Go and Maruti Suzuki Alto K10.
