Mahindra Automotive has launched the much awaited and most anticipated compact SUV - XUV300 in India. The new XUV300 shares its platform with SsangYong Tivoli. The XUV300 carries forward the characteristics of the XUV500 with its cheetah-inspired design, cheetah-like agility, thrilling performance and advanced technology features.

Its modern grille, sculpted bonnet, dual LED DRLs, headlamps integrated fog lamps and bold LED tail lamps give the XUV300 a bold and charismatic road presence. It also gets electrically adjustable heated ORVMs and 17-inch diamond cut alloy wheels.
The car gets 7-inch touch screen infotainment, panoramic sunroof, Nappa leather seats and class defining interiors. Premium leatherette seats, leather-wrapped steering and gear knob, piano black and satin silver finish dashboard, 6-way adjustable driver seat, adjustable two-level boot space, sunglass holder and easily assessable under armrest storage space are the key interior features of the XUV300.
The five-seater SUV comes with both 1.2-litre Petrol and 1.5-litre Diesel engine options. The 1.2-litre petrol engine delivers 110Ps power and 200Nm of torque whereas the 1.5-litre diesel engine delivers 115PS power and 300Nm of torque. Both engines are mated to a 6-speed gear transmission. Mahindra is also planning to launch the XUV 300 in AMT version soon.
Passenger safety as prime concern Mahindra is offering 7-airbags (knee, front dual, side and curtain airbags), ABS and disc brakes on all four wheels as standard on all variants. In addition, the XUV300 will also come with an optional pack variant - W8 (O) - which would have additional technology and safety features like front parking sensors, Electronic Stability Programme, ISOFIX and hill hold assist.
Coming to the market rivalry, the car competes with the likes of Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport and Maruti Suzuki VitaraBrezza.
