Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd is the Indian front runner in producing SUVs at par excellence. It is also the pioneer in bringing SUVs that match to the tastes of all classes not just limiting to India but spread its foothold across the world. Now it has launched the KUV100 NXT, a facelift to its existing compact utility vehicle KUV100 adding 40 new features as per new age customer demands. The new version is available in petrol and diesel variants and has lower trim (cheaper) options as well.
The petrol variant is priced from Rs 4.39 lakh to Rs 6.4 lakh while the diesel variant is priced from Rs 5.39 lakh to Rs 7.33 lakh. The KUV100 NXT will now be available in 5 variants, namely, K2, K2+, K4+, K6+ and K8 in both petrol, diesel variants with 5 & 6 seater options.
The car is powered by the 1.2-litre, VVT petrol engine which delivers 82PS power and 115Nm torque whereas the diesel variant gets 1.2-litre turbo-charged engine with CRDI technology that delivers 77PS power and 190Nm torque. Both engines are equipped with 5-speed manual gearbox.
Mahindra has further enhanced its aggressive SUV design and bold SUV stance with new front grille, new bumpers with flared wheel arches and cladding for the macho look. In addition, it also offers more style quotient with new 15-inch diamond cut alloy wheels and powered ORVMs with turn indicators.
The car is now loaded with more hi-tech features such as the 7-inch touchscreen with navigation, electronic temperature control panel, electrically foldable ORVMs and parking sensors. To add to the overall experience, the New KUV100 NXT offers a quieter and more refined peppy drive.
The New KUV100 NXT has a standard ABS and dual airbags (K2+ onwards) for overall safety. It is the only vehicle in this price quotient which can accommodate 6 people comfortably.
Coming to the market rivalry, the KUV100 NXT which comes at a significantly lower price competes with the likes of Ford EcoSport, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and Tata Nexon.
