Hyundai Motors India has launched much awaited and India's first connected car - Hyundai Venue - with a starting price of Rs 6.5 lakh. The subcompact SUV is offered in five variants - E, S, SX, SX(O) and SX+. Hyundai Venue has been tested and evaluated at the most demanding conditions. With its stunning design, styling and the most advanced Blue Link connected technology with India-specific features, the Hyundai Venue will redefine the compact SUV segment in India.
The new Venue, being India's first connected car, comes with 33 connected features out of 10 will be developed for Indian customers. Coming to the exterior, it comes equipped with projector headlamps with LED DRL, LED tail lamps, smart electric sunroof, electrically operated ORVMs, massive chrome finish in front and door handles, dark chrome grille, floating roofline and 16-inch diamond cut alloy wheels.
Hyundai is offering three different interior colour theme options for its customers. The 8.0-inch touchscreen is the largest in its class and houses the BlueLink in-car connectivity suite. Other interior features of the car include - front seat armrest with storage box, cruise control, electric sunroof, rear AC vents, cooled glove box, multifunctional steering wheel, 350-litre boot space and impressive leg room for rear seat passengers.
Hyundai BlueLink Technology
The new BlueLink technology is Hyundai's personal mobility assistant system that acts as a communication channel between you and your car. It comes equipped with an e-SIM from Vodafone and it can be used to control various in-car functions like remote start, climate control, location tracking, remote door lock/unlock, SOS/Emergency service, roadside assistance, interactive voice recognition and many more.
Hyundai Venue is offered in petrol and one diesel engine options. The 1.4-litre diesel, 1.2-litre petrol and 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol. The 1.4-litre churns out 90PS power, 220Nm torque, 1.2-litre petrol engine produces 83PS power, 115Nm torque and 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine generates 120PS power, 172Nm torque, and. All three engines are mated to 5-speed, 6-speed manual and 7-speed DCT transmissions, respectively.
The safety standards of the car include - dual front airbags, seat belt reminder, ABS with EBD, speed alert system, rear parking sensors, ESC/ESP, VSM (Vehicle Stability Management), HAC (Hill Assist Control), BAS (Brake Assist System) and ISOFIX child seat mounts.
Coming to the market rivalry, the Hyundai Venue goes against with the likes of Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Mahindra XUV300, Ford Ecosport and Tata Nexon. The Hyundai Venue also gets 3-year, unlimited kilometres and 3-year roadside assistance for extra piece of mind.
