To strengthen its position and to attract young buyers of Indian two-wheeler market, the American premium two-wheeler maker Indian Motorcycles has launched new scrambler model motorcycle Indian FTR 1200 S in India in the presence of actor Madhavan.
Indian Motorcycles is offering it in two variants - FTR 1200 S and FTR 1200 S Race Replica (RR) at a price of Rs 15.99 lakh and Rs 17.99 lakh, respectively. The FTR 1200 series is available in three colour options - Race Replica, Titanium Metallic over Thunder Black, Pearl Indian Motorcycle Red Over steel Gray.
Inspired by Indian flat track championship race bike model - FTR 750, the new FTR 1200 S and FTR 1200 S Race Replica gets new liquid cool 1203cc twin-cylinder V-twin engine that generates 120PS power and 115Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
The bikes also get 4.3-inch LCD touch screen instrument console with Indian Ride Command and Bluetooth connectivity that allows the rider to pair their mobile easily to console. Its sporty, upright riding position and nimble handling also offer commanding riding experience to the riders.
The FTR 1200 S and FTR 1200 S RR hosts premium features such as LED lighting setup, adjustable front & rear suspension, twin exhaust, 320mm dual disc at the front and 260mm single disc at the rear along with Bosch stability control with a six-axis inertial sensor, traction control, ABS and three riding modes - Sport , Standard and Rain. Like all the other models, FTR 1200 series coming to India via CBU (Complete Built Unit) route.
