Honda two-wheelers India has launched the first BS-VI compliant Honda Activa 125 with segment first silent start feature. The company hasn't announced the price of new Honda Activa 125 and is expected to 10-15 per cent higher than its predecessor. Along with silent start feature, the new 2019 Activa 125 gets some cosmetic updates such as chrome plated emblem on sides, new grab rail and semi-digital instrument cluster.
The scooter is powered by a BS-VI compliant 125cc engine with Fuel Injection (FI) technology that delivers 8.6PS power and 10.5Nm of torque. The scooter also comes with idle stop system that automatically switches the engine off at traffic lights and other brief stops.
Additionally, the new BS-VI Activa 125 gets front glove box, 5 in 1 lock seat opening switch, side stand indicator, external fuel filler cap and pass switch as standard. The suspension setup of the scooter consists of telescopic suspension at front and monoshock at the rear. Braking duties are handled by 190mm disc at the front and 130mm drum at the rear.
