The ongoing demand for scooters pushing two-wheeler makers to develop new range models which would attract all category buyers. According to the recent sale numbers, scooters are the most selling two-wheelers in the Indian market.
Earlier, scooters are offered with a 100cc engine which is known as the standard engine in the two-wheeler segment. To reach out the number of customers and to compete with rivals, two-wheeler makers were introduced 125cc segment with attractive features like a digital console, USB charging port, front disc brake, Bluetooth connectivity, external fuel filler cap, service remainder and spacious under seat storage with lamp.

Hero Destini 125
Hero MotoCorp has recently launched this Destini 125 with attractive features. With first in segment i3S start-stop technology and remote key. Hero is offering it two variants LX and VX at a price of Rs 54,650 and Rs 57,500, respectively. It is powered by a 124.6cc engine that delivers 8.7PS power and 10.2Nm of torque.
Suzuki Burgman Street 125 And Access 125
Inspired by Suzuki's European scooter model Burgman, the new Burgman Street 125 is the company's new offering for the Indian market. With flexible foot position and body mounted windscreen, it looks like a maxi scooter. Priced at Rs 68,000, the Burgman Street 125 blends of luxurious design.
Coming to the Access model, Suzuki is offering it in two different variants – Access 125 and Access 125 SE. Apart from the few cosmetic changes, both scooters share common features like chrome coloured view mirrors, seat covers and SE badge. The Access 125 is priced at Rs 58,350 and Access 125 SE is priced at Rs 60,925.
The Burgman Street 125 and Access 125 is powered by the same 125cc engine that delivers 8.7PS power and 10.2Nm of torque.
Honda Grazia And Activa 125
Honda is offering two models in the 125cc segment - Honda Activa 125 and Honda Grazia. Both scooters feature the same 125cc engine that delivers 8.52PS power and 1054Nm of torque. Like the other Honda scooters, Grazia also comes with Honda Eco Technology (HET) which reduces friction in the engine and improves fuel economy.
Both Grazia and Activa 125 shares common features like LED headlight, 4-in-1 lock with seat opener switch, dark grey alloy wheels, revised instrument cluster, Eco Speed indicator and service due indicator. Honda is offering Grazia in three different variants - Grazia Alloy, Grazia Dlx and Grazia STD at a price of Rs 59,922, Rs 61,852 and Rs 64293, respectively. Honda Activa 125 is price ranges from Rs 59,921 to Rs 64,307.
TVS N Torq 125
With all advanced connectivity features, TVS NTorq 125 is the first connectivity scooter in the Indian market. It is the first model in the segment that comes with advanced connectivity features like navigation assist, smart Connect, Bluetooth, top-speed recorder, lap timer and multi-ride statistic modes. Its 125cc engine delivers 9.4PS power and 10.5Nm of torque.
Vespa SXL And VXL
Vespa is offering 125cc scooters in two variants – SXL and VXL. They are powered by the 125cc engine that produces 10PS power and 10.6Nm of torque.
The SXL is priced at Rs 89.166 and the VXL price starts from Rs Rs 84.539. Apart from the round headlamp fro VXL and square shape headlamp for SXL model, both scooter scooters share common features.
Aprilia SR 125
The new Aprilia SR 125 shares design and features with its predecessor SR 150. It is powered by the same 125cc engine as its parental Vespa 125 features. It also gets 14-inch alloy wheel that gives the scooter a strong sporty feel.
Though all the above models equipped with the 125cc engine they deliver different outputs. Likewise, they are all looks similar but due to design and features, there are price variations. So, choose one according to your budget.
