BMW India has launched new generation 2019 X5 SUV in the presence of its Indian brand ambassador Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar. BMW is offering it in three different variants namely - XDrive30d Sport, XDrive30d xLine and XDrive40i M Sport. The 2019 X5 is BMW's flagship SUV and it comes with a host of updates.
Visually, the new X5 is larger than its predecessor. The front portion of the car gets enlarged BMW's iconic kidney grille, X element LED headlamps and fog lamps. The rear side of the car updated with wider LED taillights, revised rear bumper with diffuser insert and electrical tailgate which can be used as a practical seat.
Interiors of the car feature panoramic sunroof, handcrafted crystal glass elements, electrically adjustable high-quality leather seats, ambient interior lighting, Harman Kardon surround sound system, individual 4-zone automatic climate control system, wireless charging, screens for rear seat passengers, BMW's 12.3-inch touch screen infotainment and instrument cluster.
Passenger safety and driver assist features of the car include - parking assist with surround camera, BMW head-up display, reversing assistant, BMW gesture control, blind spot monitoring, lane departure warning, traffic jam assist, pedestrian monitoring, lane keeping assist, front and rear collision warnings, and city collision mitigation.
The new BMW X5 offered in both petrol and diesel engine options. The XDrive40i M Sport models are powered by a 3.0-litre six-cylinder petrol engine that delivers 340PS power and 500Nm of torque while the XDrive30d is powered by a 3.0-litre diesel engine that delivers 365Ps power and 620Nm of torque. Both engines are mated to an 8-speed auto transmission and get the all-wheel-drive system as standard.
