India's leading two-wheeler and three-wheeler maker Bajaj Auto has launched a new variant of entry-level commuter model Platina 110 with CBS at a price Rs 49,300. Though the bike not yet listed on the company's official website but it has reached the authorised dealerships.
As it named Paltina 110, the bike is powered by 115.5cc air-cooled DTS-i engine borrowed from Discover 110. The engine delivers 8.6PS power, 9.81Nm of torque and is mated to a 4-speed gearbox. The other major changes of the bike CBS (Combined Braking System) braking and large fuel tank (11.5-litre). It also gets front and rear drum brakes and optional front disc brake. Suspension duties of the bike handled by comprises of conventional telescopic forks at the front and twin spring gas-charged shock absorbers at the rear.
According to the company, the 2019 Bajaj Platina will sell alongside the current 100cc Platina and it gets Bajaj's 5-5-5 offer, which includes five years of free own damage insurance cover, five free services and a five-year warranty.
