The Suzuki Motorcycle India has torched up the heat in the 250cc segment with Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 launch because it is the most popular segment with less number of rivals. Among all the segments, the 250cc segment is unique and stands in the mid of the high engine powered models. As of now, a very limited number of 250cc models are available in the Indian market when compared to other segments like 100cc, 125cc, 150cc. Honda CBR 250R
Since its launch in the Indian market, it is the only bike in the 250cc segment. Featuring the liquid cool performance engine, the bike is launched to cater the demand for entry-level performance bikes. Its aerodynamic design and seating posture offer comfortable and hassle-free rides. The 250cc engine delivers 26.51PS power and 22.9Nm torque. It is mated with 6-speed gear transmission and the bike's front mufflers bring true sport look to the bike. The bike is available in four colour variants with a price tag of Rs 1.94 lakh for ABS and Rs 1.65 lakh for standard.
Suzuki Gixxer SF 250
The Gixxer SF 250 is one of the best performance bikes from the Suzuki Motorcycle for Indian riders. The bike was launched recently in compete with its rivals. It is the only model in the Suzuki's Indian line-up featuring with a single cylinder engine. The bike is powered with a 249cc engine that delivers 26.5PS power and 22.6Nm of torque. Mated with the 6-speed gear transmission, the bike is available in two colour variants - Metallic Matte Platinum Silver and Metallic Matte Black with a starting price tag of Rs 1.70 lakh.
Yamaha FZ25 & Fazer 25
Yamaha is offering to models in the 250cc segment - FZ25 & Fazer 25. The FZ25 is a naked model and the Fazer25 is sports bike gets aggressive styling and decals. Both bikes are powered by a 249cc engine with a maximum power output of 20.9PS and 20Nm of torque.
The company claims that the engine is fine-tuned for the Indian traffic environment that offers improved performance with fuel efficiency. The FZ25 and Fazer 25 are priced at 1.33 lakh and Rs 1.43 lakh, respectively.
KTM Duke 250
Known for its ready to race stance, the Duke 250 is KTM India's only model in the 250cc segment. It is powered by the 248cc engine that delivers 30PS power, 24Nm of torque and the engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The Duke 250 is light in weight and packed with advanced technologies. KTM offers it in two colour schemes - Orange and White - at a price of Rs 1.94 lakh.
The Z250 is inspired from the Kawasaki's high-end Z-series models - Z1000 and Z800. The bike's 249cc engine produces 32PS power and 21Nm torque. According to the company, the bike is designed for rider-friendly response and its parallel twin engine delivers smooth acceleration at low and high rpms. The Z250 comes with new high-quality chassis that reduces the vibrations and offers high-level performance and excellent ride quality. The Kawasaki Z250 has priced at Rs 3.08 lakh.
Apart from the above mentioned, Cleveland CycleWreks and FB Mondial are expecting to launch their 250cc model in India. On the other side, Hyosung is also delivering its 250cc models based on customer orders at specific dealership networks.
