Born to a famous violinist, YN Sharma in Machilipatnam, Mani Sharma spent most of his childhood in Chennai. He realised that his career is music just at the age of 18 and started learning keyboard in the late 80s under the guidance of Sri Satyam.
Mani Sharma was highly inspired by Ilaiyaraaja's compositions and worked under him when he was in Chennai. Mani also worked under Raj-Koti and MM Keeravaani. When Mani was under the tutelage of Raj-Koti, AR Rahman was his best pal who also started his career as a keyboardist under the duo.
Mani's 15 years of experience of working under various music directors reflects in his compositions. the most dedicated music director forayed into filmdom with Ram Gopal Varma's Raatri composing back ground music (BGM). Chiranjeevi's Bavagaru Bagunnara is his first break through for this talented composer as music director.
After experiencing a fall in his career, he made his come back with Mohana Krishna Indraganti's Gentleman. it is no wonder if we say that this composer is a gem in generating tremendous BGM which can be witnessed in many of his movies..
