Tomatoes – 2 big
Water – 3 cups
Rasam powder – 2 tbsp
Cumin seeds – ½ tbsp
Mustard seeds – ½ tbsp
Hing – a pinch
Red chilli – 1 or 2
Tamarind juice – 3 tbsp
Oil – 2 tbsp
Coriander – finely chopped
Heat the pan and add oil. When the oil heats add cumin, mustard seeds.
When they start crackle, add red chillies and hing. Add curry leaves and stir.
Put the chopped tomatoes to it and let it cook for few minutes.
Now add salt and turmeric to the tomatoes and cover it with a lid.
After the tomatoes cooked well add water, rasam powder and tamarind juice and allow it to boil for few minutes.
Finally add the finely chopped coriander to the rasam and off the stove.
The tasty tomato rasam is ready to serve…
