The Kerala cuisine is incomplete without devouring 'Uniyappam'. It is made out of bananas, coconut and sesame seeds. This Keralites favourite snack allures the taste buds of food lovers with its luscious taste.
So, without any delay, scroll down and pen down the recipe of this yummy snack...
1 cup rice flour
½ cup concentrated jaggery/sugar syrup
¼ cup shredded coconut
2 ripened bananas (mashed)
1 tsp sesame seeds (roasted in ghee)
1 tbsp wheat flour
A pinch of baking soda
Take a bowl and add the rice flour, roasted sesame seeds, jaggery syrup, shredded coconut, baking soda, mashed bananas and mix them well with sufficient water. Keep the bowl aside and allow it to rest for 3-4 hours.
Heat the uniyappam pan by applying oil to the moulds and fill the moulds with the batter. Let it cook on low flame.
Gently swift the uniyappams to other side and leave it for 2-3 minutes. Cook until both sides turn into golden brown.
