If you are a meat lover... then this special dish is for you... It seems boring to devour the routine dishes with keema such as curry, soup and fry. Have you ever prepared an omelette with meat balls at home? If no... Then try this Italian flavoured dish prepared with desi spices...
Ingredients For Meat Balls
¾ kg minced meat (keema); 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste; 2 green chillies; 1 tbsp chilli powder; ½ tsp turmeric powder; ½ tsp whole spices powder; 1 small piece cinnamon; 2 cloves; 2 crushed cardamom; 1 tsp pepper powder; Each 2 tbsp of chopped coriander and mint leaves; Oil for deep frying; Salt to taste
Ingredients For Omelette
3 Eggs; little amount of milk; 2 chopped garlic cloves; 1 small chopped onion; 2 tbsp shredded cheese; Salt and pepper powder as per taste
Preparation For Meat Balls
Heat the oil in a pan and saute the ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder for a minute. Then add minced meat and fry it well for 5 minutes.
Then goes chopped green chillies, chopped mint, coriander leaves, spices powder, cloves, cinnamon, crushed cardamom, pepper powder, chilli powder and salt. Let it cook along with sufficient water until the minced meat becomes tender. Take it off the flame and set aside to cool.
Divide the meat mixture into equal portions and shape them into small balls. Meanwhile, heat the oil in a wok and deep fry the meat balls in batches till golden brown. Transfer them into a paper lined plate to drain the excess oil.
Now, meat balls are ready…
Preparation Of Meat Balls Omelette
Saute the chopped onions, garlic till translucent and take them into a plate.
Beat the eggs in a bowl along with salt, pepper powder, milk, onion mixture and set aside.
Now, pour the egg mixture and meat balls into a greased baking tray.
Bake it at 180o C for 5 minutes.
Serve the hot meat balls omelette pieces…
Note: You can use stove instead of oven. Pour the egg mixture on a heated tawa and place the meat ball pieces over the omelette and gently fold it. That's it! Meat Balls Omelette is ready.
