'Stir Fried Brown Rice': A Tasty Tweak To Your Regular Brown Rice...

Nowadays, people are becoming more health conscious and switching to low calorie and zero fat foods in order to stay healthy. And, brown rice is one of the most preferred foods as they have very low carbs compared to white rice. Devouring the same brown rice every day is boring, right? Yes! So we EeYuva is here with a simple yet delicious version of brown rice i.e., 'Stir Fried Brown Rice'. Have a look and give it a try...

Ingredients

  • Cooked brown rice - 2 cups

  • Oil - 2 tbsp

  • Chopped onions - 1

  • Finely sliced cabbage, cauliflower, spring onion greens - ¼ cup each

  • Boiled green peas - ¼ cup

  • Sprouts - 2 tbsp

  • Chopped capsicum (red, yellow and green) - ¼ cup

  • Boiled rajma beans - ¼ cup

  • Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tbsp

  • Roasted peanuts - 2 tsp

  • Soya sauce - 1 tbsp

  • Salt to taste

  • Red chilli powder - 2 tsp

  • A handful of chopped coriander leaves

Note: You can also add your favourite veggies like carrots, broccoli, beans, etc., to make it more palatable.

Preparation

  1. Heat the oil in a pan and add onions and saute them for a while. Then add ginger-garlic paste and mix it well.

  2. Then add all the veggies - cabbage, cauliflower, spring onion greens, capsicum and saute them until cooked.

  3. Now add the boiled green peas, rajma beans, sprouts, red chilli powder and give a quick stir.

  4. It's time to add the cooked brown rice and salt to taste. Mix it well until all the veggies combined well with the rice on a low flame.

  5. Finally, add the soy sauce and give a nice stir for a while and off the flame. Dish it out and garnish with the peanuts and coriander leaves.

The hot and delicious 'Stir Fried Brown Rice' is ready to have now...
