Ingredients You Needsponge tea cake

  • All-purpose flour - 300 gm

  • Baking powder - 1 tsp

  • Salt - ¼ tsp

  • Unsalted butter - 225 gm

  • Sugar - 225 gm

  • Eggs - 4

  • Milk - ¼ cup

  • Vanilla essence - 1 tsp

Method To Prepare Delectable 'Sponge Tea Cake'

  1. Prior to the preparation, preheat the oven at 180º C.

  2. Sift in the all-purpose flour, baking powder and salt into a bowl and set it aside.

  3. Take another bowl and add butter, sugar and mix them well until peak, soft texture.

  4. Now add the eggs one after the other and mix them well. Then add the milk, vanilla essence and mix well with a whisker.

  5. Now goes the sifted flour. Add it in 3 batches and mix it with a spatula until all the ingredients combined well.
