Raksha Bandhan.... The traditional festival to celebrate the beautiful bond of siblings is falling tomorrow. As per the Hindu calender, Raksha Bandhan falls every year on the full moon day of the Shravana month where all the lovely sisters tie the pretty rakhis to their brothers with lots of love and promises life long protection each other.

Well! We can't celebrate an occasion without having the luscious sweets, right? Yes! So we EeYuva on the occasion of this Rakhi festival, have come up with 2 delicious chocolate recipes. Do try them on this Raksha Bandhan and surprise your family members. Here we go!

1. Chocolate Fondue

Ingredients You Need

340 g dark chocolate/ milk chocolate; ¾ cup whipped cream; 1 tbsp butter; 1 tsp vanilla essence

Method To Prepare

  1. Heat the whipped cream for 2-3 minutes. Make sure that it should not boil and doesn't stick to the bottom.

  2. Take it off the flame and add the dark chocolate with stirring continuously until it melts.

  3. Now goes butter, vanilla essence and mix them well.

That's it! melting 'Chocolate Fondue' is ready to share with your lovely brother...

2. Chocolate Doughnut

Ingredients You Need

1 cup all purpose flour; ¼ cup cocoa powder; ½ cup sugar; 1 tsp baking powder; ½ tsp baking soda; ½ tsp salt; 3 tbsp melted butter; 1 tsp vanilla essence; 1 cup milk; 1 egg

Ingredients For Topping

1 cup sugar powder; 3 tbsp cocoa powder/ melted chocolate; 5 tbsp milk / heavy cream; Sprinkles for garnishing

Method To Prepare

  1. Preheat the oven at 180o C and grease the doughnut pan with the non-stick spray and set it aside.

  2. Combine all purpose flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt together in a bowl.

  3. Whisk the melted butter, vanilla essence, milk and egg in another bowl.

  4. Now, add the flour mixture to the butter mixture in batches and stir them well until a lump free soft batter is formed.

  5. Fill the doughnut pan with batter and bake it at 180o C for 7-9 minutes. Meanwhile, whisk the sugar powder, melted chocolate, cream to get a soft and loose sauce texture.

  6. Remove the doughnut pan from oven and rest it aside for sometime.

Garnish the 'Chocolate Doughnuts' with chocolate sauce and finally sprinkle the colourful sprinkles to get a glazed look...
