Having a yummy paneer dish will always make our meal satisfying, right? Yes! And when it comes to the panner recipes, you might have devoured many varieties like paneer butter masala, paneer capsicum masala, matar paneer, etc., But have you ever tried the 'Paneer Do Pyaza'? Probably not! So today we are here with this yummy paneer recipe. Do try it and make your lunch satiating. Here we go!

Ingredients You Need

  • Paneer - 200 gms (cubed)

  • Tomato puree - 3 tbsppaneer do pyaza

  • Cashews - 10-12

  • Finely chopped onions - 2 medium

  • Onion petals - 2 medium

  • Oil as required

  • Cumin seeds - 1 tsp

  • Ginger garlic paste - 2 tsp

  • Turmeric powder - ½ tsp

  • Red chilli powder - 2 tsp

  • Coriander powder - 2 tsp

  • Slitted green chillies - 2

  • Garam masala - ½ tsp

  • Salt to taste

  • Water as required

  • Kasuri methi - 1 tsp

  • Chopped coriander leaves to garnish

Method To Prepare Paneer Do Pyaza

  1. First, blend the cashew nuts by adding little water into a fine paste and set it aside.

  2. Now heat 2-3 tsp of oil in a pan and slightly fry the paneer cubes on both the sides and dish them out.

  3. To the same pan, add the onion petals and saute them till translucent. Set them aside.

  4. Heat 2 tbsp of oil in another pan and add cumin seeds and saute them. Now add the chopped onions and saute them until golden brown.

  5. Add the ginger garlic paste and give it a nice stir. Then add the tomato puree, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, salt to taste and mix them well. Let them cook for a few minutes.

  6. Now add cashew paste, mix it well and add a cup of water. Stir it and let it cook until oil separates.

  7. Now goes the fried paneer cubes, fried onion petals, slitted green chillies and mix them well. Add a cup of water and give a quick stir. Cover and let it cook 8-10 minutes.

  8. Finally add the garam masala, kasuri methi and stir it. Let it cook for another 2-3 minutes and add garnish it with coriander leaves and off the flame.

That's it! The mouth-watering 'Panner Do Pyaza' is ready to serve now. Have it with naan or roti.
