Right from the morning tea time partner to the evening snacks, they play a key role in our everyday lives. Yes, we are talking about our much-loved buddies 'Cookies'. And, to speak frankly, we all are habituated to them since our childhood. Still, there are many people who doesn't start their day without having a hot cup of tea and good baked biscuits.

Are you one among them? Then it's time to celebrate... Yes, you heard it right, today is 'Cookie Day'. So, on the occasion of this special day, we EeYuva have doled out a few delicious and healthy cookie recipes that anyone can prepare at their condo in a very less time... Have a look!

1. Matcha Cookies

Being an abode of minerals and antioxidants, matcha tea does great benefits to our health. Well! What about matcha biscuits? Have you ever tasted? If not, then here is the recipe for you.

Ingredientsmatcha cookies

  • Matcha powder - 2 tbsp

  • Butter - 1 cup

  • Sugar - ½ cup

  • Vanilla essence - 1 tsp

  • Refined flour - 1½ cup

Preparation

  1. Prior to the preparation, preheat the oven for 350ºF.

  2. Whisk the butter and sugar in a bowl and add the vanilla essence and mix it well.

  3. Now add matcha and refined flour one by one and whisk them well into a soft batter.

  4. Shape the cookie dough into small balls and place them on a parchment lined baking tray.

  5. Bake at 350ºF for 10-15 minutes and dish them out.

Have the crunchy and healthy 'Matcha biscuits' with a hot cup of tea.

2. Chocolate Cookies

Who doesn't love to devour chocolates? No one, right? And, when it comes to the cookies made of cocoa, the flavour will allure your taste buds.

Ingredientschocolate cookies

  • Butter - ½ cup

  • Castor sugar - ¾ cup

  • Eggs - 2

  • Vanilla essence - 1 tsp

  • Refined flour - 1¼ cup

  • Cocoa powder - ¼ cup

  • Baking soda - 1 tsp

  • Milk - 2 tbsp

  • White and dark chocolate chips – ¼ cup each (optional)

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven for 180ºC and start the preparation.

  2. Whisk the butter and castor sugar in a large bowl. Now goes the eggs and vanilla essence and whisk it again.

  3. Sieve refined flour, cocoa powder and baking soda altogether and whisk them into a smooth dough by adding milk on the other hand.

  4. Sprinkle the chocolate chips and combine them well with a spatula.

  5. Now shape the batter into round shapes and place them on a paper lined baking tray and press them gently. Bake them at 180º C for 15-20 minutes.

The soft and crunchy 'Chocolate Cookies' are ready to devour now.

3. Oats Cookies

Cookies made of oats will definitely turn into wholesome and tasty ones. So, give them a try.

Ingredients You Needoats cookies

  • Butter - ¼ cup

  • Powdered sugar - ½ cup

  • Refined flour - ¾ cup

  • Oats - ¼ cup

  • Vanilla extract - 1 tsp

  • Condensed milk - 1 tbsp

  • Yoghurt - 1 tbsp

  • A pinch of salt

Preparation

  1. Beat butter with powdered sugar and vanilla extract to get a fluffy texture. Then goes condensed milk, yoghurt, salt and stir them well.

  2. It is time to add flour and mix them well to get a soft dough. Now, fold with oats and chill the dough in the refrigerator for 20-25 minutes.

  3. Shape a tablespoon of dough into round; slightly flatten like a cookie and place it into a greased baking tray. Do the same till dough is done. Bake them for 10-12 minutes at 180o C.

Note: One can add choco chips and fruit flavours as well. It will enhance the taste and flavour of the cookies.
