Be it a simple chicken curry or a chicken fry, it will satiate the taste buds of the non-veg lovers especially the chicken lovers. And, besides your regular chicken recipes, today we are introducing you a delicious chicken recipe i.e., 'Chicken/ Murgh Bharta'. The chicken cooked with the yummy spices will definitely leave you mouth-watering.

Ingredients

  • Oil - 2 tbsp

  • Ghee - ½ tbspchicken bharta

  • Bay leaves - 2-3

  • Cinnamon -1-inch stick

  • Cloves - 2

  • Cardamom - 2-3

  • Chopped onions - 3 medium

  • Ginger garlic paste - 1½ tsp

  • Chopped tomatoes - 2

  • Turmeric powder - 1 tsp

  • Kashmiri red chilli powder - 2 tsp

  • Salt to taste

  • Boneless chicken - 300 gm

  • Cumin powder - 1 tsp

  • Coriander powder - 2 tsp

  • Water as required

  • Garam masala - 1 tsp

  • Cashew paste - 2 tbsp

  • Whisked curd - ½ cup

  • Kasoori methi to sprinkle

  • Fresh cream to garnish

  • Chopped coriander leaves to garnish

Preparation Of 'Chicken Bhrata'...

  1. Heat the oil, ghee in a wide pan and add the spices - bay leaves, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves and saute them for a while.

  2. Now add the chopped onions and saute them till golden brown. Add the ginger garlic paste and mix it well for a minute.

  3. Then add the tomatoes and mix them well. Thereafter add the turmeric powder, red chilli powder, a little salt and give a nice stir.

  4. After a few minutes, add the chicken pieces and required salt and mix it well.

  5. Now add the cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala and 1-2 cups of water and give a quick mix. Close the lid and let it cook for 15-20 minutes.

  6. Then add the cashew paste and whisked curd and give a quick mix. Close and cook it for 5-10 minutes.

  7. Finally, sprinkle the kasuri methi and off the flame. Dish it out and garnish it with the fresh cream and coriander leaves.

The mouth-watering, 'Murgh Bharta' is ready to serve now. Have it with a roti or butter naan to enjoy the rich flavour of it...
