Sunday brunches are quite common in every home. The laziness and moreover the chilled climate halts us from waking up early. And, this leads to the Sunday brunch. So, do you belong to this brunch category? Confused on what to have for your lunch?

No worries! We are here with the simple yet delicious 'Chicken Keema Pulao/Minced Chicken Pulao' doled out the chef Sanjeev Kapoor. Have a look and try it out!


  • Chicken keema - 150 gm

  • Oil - 2 tsp

  • Cumin seeds - ½ tsp

  • Black peppercorns - 5-6

  • Cloves - 4-5

  • Green cardamom - 5-6

  • Cinnamon stick - 1 inch

  • Chopped garlic - 1 tsp

  • Chopped ginger - 1 tsp

  • Sliced onions - 2 medium

  • Slitted green chillies - 2

  • Turmeric powder - ½ tsp

  • Red chilli powder - 1 tsp

  • Garam masala powder - ½ tsp

  • Chopped coriander leaves - 4 tbsp

  • Yoghurt - 1 tbsp

  • Salt to taste

  • Cooked rice - 3 cups

Preparation Of Chicken Keema Pulao

  1. Heat oil in a wide pan and saute cumin seeds, peppercorns, cloves, cardamom, cinnamon, chopped garlic and ginger.

  2. Add the sliced onions, green chillies and saute them for a while. Thereafter, add the minced chicken and mix it well and let it cook for few minutes.

  3. Now add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garam masala, 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves, yoghurt and salt to taste.

  4. Mix them well and add the cooked rice. Give a nice stir until all the ingredients combined well with the rice.

  5. Finally, garnish it with 2 tbsp of coriander leaves and off the flame and dish it out.
