And, the third Firday of the festive month, Sravana Masam is here today. As last week, we have shared you the yummy Aata Ki Kheer, and this week too we are here with another 2 luscious sweet recipes to propitiate Goddess Lakshmi. One is 'Paneer Burfi' and other is 'Almond/ Badam Burfi'. Both are super delicious and are very simple to prepare. So without any delay, let's have a quick look at the preparation. Here we go...

1. Paneer Burfi

Ingredients You Need

  • Paneer - 1 cup (grated or crumbled)

  • Milk - ½ cup

  • Milk powder - ½ cup

  • Sugar - ½ cup

  • Cardamom powder - ¼ tsp

  • Ghee - 2-3 tbsp

  • Pistachios to garnish

Preparation Of Paneer Burfi

  1. Heat the milk in a pan and add the milk powder and mix it well without any lumps. Stir it continuously until the milk thickens. Set it aside.

  2. In another pan, heat the ghee and add paneer and stir it well. Add the sugar and mix it well until it melts completely.

  3. To this, add the milk powder mixture and stir it well. Keep on stirring until the paneer mixture starts reducing and separates the sides of the pan. Then add the cardamom powder and give a nice mix.

  4. Meanwhile, grease a tray with the ghee and pour the paneer mixture into it and spread it evenly.

  5. Cut into desired shapes and garnish it with the pistachios; let it cool for some time.

The palatable 'Paneer Burfi' is ready to offer Goddess now...

2. Almond Burfi

Ingredients You Need

  • Almonds - ¾ cup

  • Hot water to soak almonds

  • Sugar - ¾ cup

  • Water - ½ cup

  • Milk - 2 tbsp

  • Saffron a pinch

  • Cardamom powder - ½ tsp

  • Ghee - 1-2 tbsp

Prior Preparation

Soak the almonds in the hot water for an hour. Combine the milk and saffron and set it aside.

Method To Prepare Badam Burfi

  1. Drain the soaked water, peel the almonds and pat dry them. Then blend the peeled almonds into coarse powder and set it aside.

  2. Now prepare the sugar syrup by boiling the sugar and water until one string consistency.

  3. Now add the almond powder to the sugar syrup and mix it well with no lumps. Then goes the saffron milk, cardamom powder and stir it continuously on a low flame.

  4. Add a tbsp of ghee and keep on stirring until the mixture becomes thick and separates the pan.

  5. Take it off the flame and pour it onto a butter paper and spread it evenly. Top it with some ghee and allow it to set cool for few minutes.

  6. Then gently knead it and roll it into slightly thick and cut it into your desired shape.

The mouth-watering 'Almond Burfi' is ready to offer the goddess.
