Here is a wonderful opportunity for the young men and women with Indian nationality to be a part of the elite Indian Air Force as Gazetted Officers. The notification of the first Air Force Common Admission Test for the year 2019 (AFCAT I 2019) is released has openings for flying branch and ground duties (technical and non-technical) and NCC Special Entry as well.

It is mandatory for the candidates opting for Ground Duty (Technical) branch to appear in both AFCAT as well as Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT).

Age Criteria

  • Flying Branch through AFCAT and NCC Special Entry: 20 to 24 years as on 01 Jan 2020

  • Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical) Branch: 20 to 26 years as on

Marital Status

  • Below 25 years of age must be unmarried at the time of commencement of course.

  • Widows, widowers and divorcees (with or without encumbrances) below 25 years of age are also not eligible.

  • A candidate who marries during the period of training shall be discharged.

  • Married candidates above 25 years of age are eligible to apply but during the training period, they will not be allowed to live out with family.

Educational Qualifications

  • Flying Branch. Candidates should have mandatorily passed with a minimum of 60% marks each in Maths and Physics at 10+2 level and 3-year Graduation with min. 60% marks or equivalent

  • Verify the education criteria for Ground Duty Technical and Non-Technical branches at the official notification.

How To Apply

Aspirants for AFCAT I/2019 are required to apply online before which they have to do register themselves. AADHAAR card is mandatory for online registration.

Examination Fee

  • After filling in the online application form, the examination fee of Rs 250 for AFCAT entry is to be paid online through the Make Payment step on the main menu of the online application.

  • NCC special entry and Meteorology candidates need not pay any fees.

  • No cash or cheque or demand draft (DD) will be accepted towards payment of examination fee.

  • Note down the Registration Number, that is displayed after successful payment for future correspondence
