World Cancer Day: Get Inspired By These Celebrities Who Battled Deadly Disease

We all know Cancer is the most horrible disease, which has become a serious threat to mankind. The reasons could vary but the most alarming issue nowadays is the drastic changes in lifestyle, be it the pollution, cigarette smoking, consuming alcohol food habits etc are major causes for this disease. However, by recognising in the early stages can bring some difference in curing the disease. Many celebrities have been the victims of the disease, yet they have come as a winner with strong determination.

Let's have a look at these celebrities who battled cancer and survived...

Rakesh Roshan

Veteran filmmaker Rakesh Roshan is the recent Bollywood celebrity who is attacked with throat cancer. The director has undergone surgery successfully on January 10, 2019.

Tahira Kashyap

Ayushmann Khurrana's better half Tahira Kashyap who diagnosed with Stage 0 cancer earlier got through it by mastectomy, while she suffered stage 1 breast cancer in last November and underwent treatment. The actress did a ramp walk yesterday at Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) 2019.

Irrfan Khan - Neuroendocrine Cancer

The critically acclaimed actor Irrfan Khan aka Pappu Yadav is diagnosed with Neuroendocrine cancer, the disease, which attacks to especially lungs and intestine. Sonali Bendre – High-Grade Cancer

Bollywood yesteryear actress Sonali Bendre has come up as a winner from high-grade cancer and joined the sets for her upcoming advertisement shoot. The Hum Saath Saath Hai actress is strong at her heart and mind expressed her willpower in fighting the deadly disease by writing, "Determined to fight every step of the way."

One of the most beautiful and sexiest actresses of Bollywood also could not escape from this deadly cancer. The actress suffered from Multiple Myeloma, which attacks the white blood cells in the bone marrow. Lisa underwent stem cell transplant surgery and surpassed cancer.

Manisha Koirala - Ovarian Cancer

After two decades of her successful career, the cute and bubbly actress Manisha Koirala was addicted to alcohol due to her troublesome marriage, which lead to the diagnosis of ovarian cancer in 2012. South Indian actress cum playback singer survived cancer in 2009. The beautiful actress stood as a role model for all by fighting cancer with courage and now she is making her mark in the south Indian film industries as an actress and singer as well.

Emraan Hashmi's Son – Tumour In Kidney

Emraan Hashmi's son is one among the cancer survivor, which is a heart-numbing incident for a family head to digest the situation. Yet the actor was brave enough and carried his distress with courage. The actor wrote a book titled 'The Kiss Of Life', which depicts how his superhero son battled the deadly disease of Kidney cancer.

Anurag Basu – Blood Cancer

The Barfi director Anurag Basu surpassed the acute promyelocytic leukaemia cancer in 2004, which falls under the blood cancer category. Being under the treatment, the director wrote the scripts for Life In A Metro and Gangster, which best emphasises how metropolitan life will make an impact on health.

There are few more actors like Nargis Dutt, Rajesh Khanna, Vinod Khanna, Aadesh Shrivastava who have fought cancer but unfortunately, they couldn't get through the deadly disease.
