Tollywood stalwart, one of the four pillars of Tollywood, Daggubati Venkatesh aka Victory Venkatesh completes 33 golden years as an actor in Telugu film industry. The Daggubati hero is fondly known as Venky Mama is a complete actor, who can perform any role with utmost ease and dedication that made him stand tall in the industry.
The Bobbili Raja actor is the only hero in Tollywood who is admired by all section of the audience thanks to his versatility and brilliant screen presence, style, attitude.
The 33 years of his filmy career started with the film Kaliyuga Pandavulu on this day (August 14) in 1986. From there on, the actor has played a variety of roles with a good success rate which helped him to grab the Victory title.
He also worked for a few Bollywood films such as Anari, starring Karisma Kapoor as the female lead. He bagged seven Nandi Awards, ten Filmfare Awards and several other film awards. Another salient feature of the actor is that he holds the record for acting in the highest number of remakes ever by any hero in Tollywood. Out of seventy-one films, twenty-three were remakes.
Off late, Venky is not shying away to work in multi-starrer films. He worked with Ram Pothineni, Pawan Kalyan and Varun Tej for the films Masala, Gopala Gopala and F2 respectively. Currently, the actor will be sharing the screen space with his nephew Naga Chaitanya for the film Venky Mama.
