Varun Starts Shooting For 'Valmiki'

It is known that 'Mega Prince' Varun Tej has teamed up with director Harish Shankar for his next outing titled Valmiki, which is a remake of Tamil cult gangster comedy, Jigarthanda.

The team has commenced the shooting from yesterday and it will be a 35-day long schedule in Hyderabad.

Now, Varun Tej too joined the shoot this morning and he shared this news through his Twitter handle. Varun is reprising the role of Bobby Simha from the original, whereas Rashmika Mandanna will step into the shoes of Lakshmi Menon, who played the female lead in Jigarthanda.

Siddharth and Karunakaran have played key roles in Jigarthanda and there is no confirmation on who are going to reprise their roles in the Telugu remake.

Raam and Gopichand Achanta are producing the movie under 14 Reels Plus banner.
