Friday... the most interesting day for both filmmakers and movie buffs. One waits eagerly to check their fate whereas the others are the fate deciders of the former. Like every time, this Friday (April 13) is also bringing up new flicks to entertain the audience. Let's check the 'Friday flicks' that are releasing in theatres.

Krishnarjuna Yuddham

This Nani starrer is going to enter the race just a day before the Friday, i.e., April 12. Nani who scored big hits last year and proved as a producer with Awe is now gearing up to enthral the audience with Krishnarjuna Yuddham in a dual role - a village guy (Krishna) and a Prague-based rockstar (Arjun). Why the lookalikes come face to face and how Anupama Parameswaran and Rukshar Dhillon are connected with them forms the crux of the story.

Written and directed by Merlapaka Gandhi, the film is produced by Sahu Garapati and Harish Peddi under Shine Screens banner. Karthik Gattamneni cranked the camera while Hip Hop Tamizha scored music.

Mercury

The Pizza director's no-language film Mercury is hitting the screens this Friday to scare the audience. Having Prabhu Deva in a key role, the silent thriller also has Sananth, Indhuja, Deepak Paramesh, Shashank Purushotham and Anish Padmanabhan. Why the individuals visit the abandoned mercuy factory and who is after their lives? Is Prabhu Deva playing a zombie? Watch the silent thriller in theatres to get answers to these questions.

Written and directed by Karthik Subbaraj, the film is produced by Kaarthekeyen Santhanam and Jayantilal Gada under Pen Studios and Stone Bench Films. Music composed by Santosh Narayanan, the film's cinematography is handled by S Thirunavukkarasu and edited by Vivek Harshan.

Rampage

George, an intellectual yet incredible gorilla has a lovely bond with its caretaker Davis Okoye, played by Dwayne Johnson. On a bad day, the ape turns terrifyingly big and dangerous because of a mistake in genetic editing. In its way, the monstrous gorilla finds similarly altered animals and tears across North America. The primatologist Okoye joins hands with geneticist Kate Caldwell, played by Naomie Harris to fight against them and to stop the global catastrophe besides saving his friend, George.

Helmed by Brad Peyton, the action thriller Rampage is an eye feast for the action lovers. The film is a New Line Cinema presentation and distributed by Warner Bros. Rampage is coming to enthral audience in English, Telugu and Hindi languages.

October

Touted as a story of love, but not a love story, October is all set to release this Friday. Directed by Shoojit Sircar, the story is all about a 21-year old guy Dan (Varun Dhawan) who shares an unusual connection with Shuili (Banita Sandhu). A tragedy befalls Dan and changes his perception towards love, life and relationship. Gitanjali Rao also shares the screen in this emotional film.

Produced by Ronnie Lahiri and Sheel Kumar, October is a production of Rising Sun Films & Kino Works. Abhik Mukhopadhyay handled the cinematography while Shantanu Moitra composed tunes to this romantic entertainer.
