Keerthy Suresh's ‘Mahanati’ Earns $1 Million In US, Equals ‘Rangasthalam’ And ‘Bharat Ane Nenu’ Record
After the huge success of Savitri's biopic Mahanati, Telugu audiences are going to witness one more promising biopic, which will be on former united Andhra Pradesh CM YS Rajasekhar Reddy.
Titled Yatra, Malayalam Superstar Mammoty will play the role of YSR in the film, which will be directed by Mahi V Raghav. Yatra mostly focuses on YSR's political journey and his 1500 km tour across various districts in the state, which brought Congress back to power in 2004. Also, the challenges faced by YSR during the financial crisis will also be shown.
While coming to the other characters, Rao Ramesh is being considered for the role of KVP Rama Chandra Rao, who is a close associate of YSR.
KVP played a key role as an advisor to YSR in decisions related to businesses, official postings and policy matters related to industrial groups.
Keeping in mind the importance of KVP character, the makers have roped in a noted face like Rao Ramesh for the role.
The remaining characters are yet to be finalised and it is interesting to know who are going to play the characters of YS Jagan, Vijayamma and YS Bharathi in this much-awaited film.
Bankrolled by Vijay Chilla and Shashi Devireddy, the film is presented by Shiva Meka under 70mm Entertainments. Yatra will go on floors in mid of June and is expected to hit the screens early next year.
