After Kangana Ranaut's Manikarnika struck in controversies due to differences between the actress and the director of the film Krish, now Kangana's upcoming film Mental Hai Kya is also getting into the news, as it is said that Kangana is solely responsible for the delay in the film's release.
During Manikarnika shoot, there were some reports that Kangana used to involve in direction department and she asked the director to re-shoot some scenes for which Krish didn't agree and he finally left the sets when almost 70% of the shooting was completed. Later, Kangana took the megaphone and completed the remaining portion and other re-shoots and got credit to her name.
Now, reports are coming out that, Kangana is once again fingering in direction of her upcoming film Mental Hai Kya, which also stars Rajkummar Rao in the lead role. She is reportedly planning to re-shoot some scenes which she feels that the hero's character is on the upper hand when compared to her. Reports also add that, Kangana is even ready to hold the megaphone like she did for Manikarnika and all these led to delay in the film's release.
However, director of the film Prakash Kovelamudi denied the speculations, saying, Kangana wanted to direct a portion of the film. “She was just an actor on the set and always behaved professionally”, he added.
Whether these reports are true or the director is just covering the issue to avoid controversies is yet unknown.
Meanwhile, the trailer of Mental Hai Kya is going to be released soon as the film is scheduled for release on July 26. Earlier, the film was supposed to face a box office clash with Hrithik Roshan's Super 30. However, the makers of Super 30 decided to avoid the clash and opted for a solo release on July 12.
