Famous Tollywood director Vijaya Bapineedu has breathed his last today morning i.e February 12. Reportedly, he was suffering from illness since a long time. Aged 82, he was born in Eluru of West Godavari district and his original name is Gutta Bapineedu Chowdary.
The magazine editor turned Indian film screenwriter and director had made many films with 'Megastar' Chiranjeevi like Patnam Vachina Pativrathalu, Maga Maharaju, Mahanagaramlo Mayagadu, Hero, Magadheerudu, Khaidi No.786, Gang Leader, Big Boss. He is one of the directors who gave some big hits to Chiru and shaped his career towards becoming a star hero.
He also made several films with 'Natakiriti' Rajendra Prasad like Naku Pellam Kavali, Donga Kollu, Zoo Laka Taka, Valu Jada Tolu Beltu, Seetapathi Chalo Tirupathi, Family,
He had directed 25 films and produced more than 40 movies in his total career.
