The National Awards are one of the most prestigious film awards that recognise the best and the most talented people from the film industries all over the country. While the award ceremony is not bereft of its own share of controversies, yet National Award holds a much more acclaimed and esteemed. Everyone, from all film industries in India, eye for a National Award.

But there are some celebs who had got this recognition very early in their lives. In fact, these celebs were given a National Award for their debut film itself. Here is a list of 6 such celebrities:

Zaira Wasim

Zaira won a National Award for her outstanding performance in Dangal. She was awarded the Best Supporting Actress Award in 2017.

Rishi Kapoor

Rishi Kapoor was seen on-screen for the first time in his father Raj Kapoor's film, Mera Naam Joker where he played the younger Raju. He was given the National Award for the Best Child Artist in 1970.

Mithun Chakraborty

Mithun Chakraborty made his debut with a very offbeat film. He was first seen on screen in the art film Mrigaya in 1976. The film earned him a National Award in the Best actor category!

Vikas Bahl

Vikas Bahl is a director who rose to fame with Queen, The film earned him a National Award, but it was not his first time. His debut film, Chillar Party got two National Awards in 2011- Best Screenplay and Best Children's Film.

Shweta Basu Prasad

She had made her acting debut with the 2002 film, Makdee. The film was a huge hit and Shweta's performance was praised. She also received the National Award in the Best Child Artist category.

Harsh Mayar

The talented actor made a debut as a child artist in the 2019 film I Am Kalam, for which he received the National Award for The Best Child Artist!

Partho Gupte

The son of talented director Amole Gupte debuted with the heart-warming film, Stanley Ka Dabba. He was so good in his performance that he received the National Award for the Best Child Artist in 2011.
