'Natasimham' Nandamuri Balakrishna is celebrating his 59th bithday today i.e June 10. Fondly known as Balayya, the senior actor is one of the four pillars of Tollywood, others include Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna and Venkatesh.
Apart from dance and high voltage action, Balayya is known for delivering mass dialogues and he is the one who introduced seema faction to Tollywood with super hit movies like Samarasimha Reddy, Narasimha Naidu, Chennakesava Reddy, etc.
Son of legendary actor and former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, NT Rama Rao, Balayya stepped into the film industry as a child artist at the age of fourteen with the film Tatamma Kala. Balakrishna received breakthrough as an actor in 1984 through films such as Sahasame Jeevitham, Janani Janmabhoomi, and Mangammagari Manavadu.
Balakrishna's 100th film Gautamiputra Satakarni clenches a special place in the actor's heart, as it marks a significant milestone in Balayya’s career. The film, which tells the story of second-century ruler of the Satavahana dynasty, Goutamiputra Satakarni, was directed by Krish Jagarlamudi.
