Written by : Entertainment Team

It's been six years since the release of the movie Mirchi. With this flick, director Koratala Siva made his debut. Despite being his debut film, Koratala made his mark in Tollywood with his tremendous direction skills and sheer talent in moulding the script.

Starring the Baahubali star Prabhas, the film went on to become a blockbuster in 2013 winning six Nandi awards in Best Actor, Best Film, Best Debut Director, Best Villain, Best Playback Singer, Best Art Director. The action entertainer has many elements such as a crispy love story and sentiments. The director showcased the clear demarcation between peace and violence and how they can make an impact on an individual. As the film completes 6 years, let's see why the film became one of the classics of Tollywood.

The plot revolves around the rivalry between the two feudal families in the two presiding villages. The title Mirchi best served the intention behind it, which symbolizes the shedding of blood due to its brutal action sequences. This film showed a new way of dealing with violence and ending it in a peaceful manner.

Composed by Devi Sri Prasad, the high voltage sound effects and background score gave the audience goosebumps and made them go crazy over the film. Apart from the rocking music, DSP scored feel good music for the songs like the title song and 'Kaatuka Kallanu Chusthe Pothunde...'

Action Sequences

The Global star Prabhas as Jai impressed with his mind-boggling action sequences and also with terrific physique, which made all the girls go gaga over him.

The hard-hitting dialogues such as “Katti vaadadam modaledithe… naakantey baaga evvadu vaadaledu,” “Naa voori meediki ravalante nu skecth vesukoni ravali... Nenu hanger ki unna shirt vesukuni vachesta" and the philosophical dialogues “Veelaithe premidham dude poyedhi emundi… Maha aitey tirigi premistaru.” and last not least Prabhas's dialogue with Anushka “Okka chance isthava … jeevithantam ikkada (heart) pettukoni chusukunta.” mesmerised all the sections of the audience.

Despite the formulaic story line, Koratala Siva came up with a fresh story and executed the film well with the intriguing screenplay. He balanced both the mass and class elements with ease.

Last but not least, Prabhas is the highlight of the film who took the movie to the next level. And his chemistry With Anushka Shetty and Richa Gangopadhyay was absolutely fantastic and good to watch.

On the work front, Prabhas is busy shooting for his upcoming high voltage action drama Sahoo, which is slated for August 15 release.
